Elroy Plautz

Elroy Frank Plautz, 87, Wausau, died Saturday February 24, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Elroy was born September 18, 1930 in the Town of Maine to the late Frank and Margaret (Henning) Plautz.  He married Amaryllis “Amy” Kopplin on May 12, 1956 and the couple celebrated 61 loving years together.  Elroy worked for the James River Corporation for 37 years.

Elroy is survived by his beloved wife, Amy; and extended family and friends.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau.  Rev. Dr. Steven Gjerde will officiate.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday at the church.  Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park.  Helke Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements; you may sign out guestbook at helke.com.
