Elva Elizabeth Christian, 97, Wausau, died August 19, 2010, at Marywood Convalescent Center, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
She was born July 31st 1913, to Ferdinand and Ella (Franke) Rochow in the town of Rib Falls, WI. On May 5th 1934, she married Leland Christian in Wausau, WI, who passed away on October 3rd 1981.
Elva had a long career spanning 30 plus years, at J.C. Penney, in retail sales. She enjoyed flowers, feeding the birds, and going up north to their summer home on White Sand Lake.
Survivors include 3 sons, Thomas (Gail) Christian, Sun City, AZ, Terry (Nancy) Christian, Buffalo, MN, and Daryl (Roxanne) Christian, Wausau; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and brother, Clarence (Adeline) Rochow, Wausau.
Private family services will be held at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
