Ervin Rohr

Ervin George Rohr, 101, Wausau, died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Colonial Manor Health and Rehabilitation.

Ervin was born July 28, 1909 in Wausau to the late Julius and Ida (Erdman) Rohr. He began working for Pied Piper Shoe Factory before leaving to take a supervisory position with Marathon Rubber and then returning to Pied Piper until retirement. Ervin married Mathilda "Tillie" Gauger on October 8, 1938 at Grace United Church of Christ, Wausau. They celebrated 49 loving years together prior to Tillie's death on September 25, 1987.

Ervin is survived by his sister, Betty Krueger; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his brother, Curtis and sister, Madeline.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Monday, November 8, 2010 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Reverend Wayne Drueck will be officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM on Monday at the funeral home and last until the time of services. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park.
