Esther Soczka, 86, of Wausau passed away on Thursday, June, 5, 2014 peacefully at her home.
She was born October 22, 1927 in Bevent to the late Julius and Frances (Trezebeatowski) Lewandowski. On October 17, 1951, Esther married Clarence Soczka at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent. In her earlier years, Esther was employed at Marathon Battery and Marathon Electric.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence of Wausau, two sons, Clarence (Jane) of Wausau, Gary (Lynn) of Weston, three grandsons, James, Derek and Evan, two great grandsons, Hunter and Alex and four sisters, Mayme Rozmenowski, Pauline Rolnicki, Delphine Gabrielski all of Wausau and Virginia Kristof of Bevent. Esther was preceded in death by three sisters, Theresa, Anna and Irene and three brothers, Edmund, Henry and Florian.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at St. Anne Parish, 700 West Bridge St. , Wausau. Father Jeff Hennes will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
