Evangeline Lepak

Evangeline S. Lepak, 82, of Rothschild, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2011 at her home. She was born to the late Edward and Anna (Dalski) Michlig on April 15, 1928 in Cassel, Wisconsin. Evangeline grew up on the family farm and attended school in Marathon. She has lived in the area all of her life, and had resided in her home for the last 44 years. She worked cleaning houses and later for Muskegon Piston Rings. A member of St. Therese Parish, she was active with the church and helping with the kitchen staff. Evangeline enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and traveling out of state for bowling tournaments. She has two grandchildren that she loves dearly.
Evangeline is survived by a son, Dennis (Linda) Lepak of Wausau; grandchildren, Brad (Chelsey) Lepak of Merrill, and Stacy Lepak of Wausau; and sisters, Violet Petrowski of Edgar, Lorraine Springer of Edgar, Adeline Mroczenski of Marathon, and Marcella Ellenbecker of Wausau.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Clemens; her parents; sister, Evelyn Rabneck; and brother, Marvin Michlig.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2011 at St. Therese Parish, 113 West Kort St., Rothschild, with Rev. Janusz Kowalski officiating. Family and friends may call at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and again at the church on Friday beginning at 8:30 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Mausoleum.
