Evelyn Bartsch

November 15, 1923 — December 28, 2012

Evelyn was born November 15th 1923, the youngest of twelve children, to the late William and Catherine (Michael) Peterson, in Wausau, WI. On June 29th 1946, she was united in marriage to Marlyn H. Bartsch at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, in Schofield. Together they shared 60 years of marriage, building a welcoming home full of laughter and most importantly, love.

Evelyn enjoyed reading and musicals. Summers were spent in the Tomahawk area, where the family had a camper for over 30 years. Devoting time throughout the day to prayer was very important to Evelyn; she was very strong in her faith, which she practiced at Trinity Lutheran Church. Evelyn cherished her family and believed it was important to spend time together, enjoying life's blessings.

On Friday, December 28th 2012, Evelyn Jane Bartsch died under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice, at Applegate – Reflections Unit. She was 89 years old.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sandra Jahnke (Dave Bentz); and many other family members and friends. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Marlyn, in 2007; and infant son, Robert Lee.

A celebration of Evelyn's life will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 2nd, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau, Reverend Zach Holdorf will officiate. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Family will receive guests Wednesday, at the church, beginning at 10 a.m. until the service.

Evelyn's family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care provided by the staff at Applegate – Reflections Unit and Ministry Home Care Hospice.
