Everett Tessmer, Sr

August 24, 1921 — January 14, 2009







Everett Tessmer, Sr., 87, of Wausau passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Aurora Bay Care, Green Bay.


He was born August 24, 1921 in the town of Rib Falls to the late Ervin and Regina (Krahn) Tessmer.  Everett served in the Army during WWII and the Korean War.  He was a member of VFW Burns Post #388 and life member of Company K 301st Infantry.  On September 19, 1942 Everett married Dorothy Abraham in Wausau.  They raised their family in Wausau where Everett worked for the Marathon County Highway Department.  He was a heavy machinery operator and retired after 41 years of service.


Survivors include his wife Dorothy and son and daughter-in-law Robert and Kathi Tessmer


( De Pere); one son Everett Tessmer Jr. of Florida; one sister-in-law Avis Tessmer ( Wausau); He is survived by 4 grandchildren:  Keri and Dina Tessmer ( De Pere), as well as Tiffany Rysewyck and Eric Zettel; He is also survived by six great grandchildren including Kala, Gabrielle, Cayden Everett, Taylor, Hope and Rebecca. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters:   Evelyn Lambert, Irene Radant and Pearl Richmond; and two brothers:  Ernest Tessmer and Ervin Tessmer.


Everett’s family would like to extend gratitude  to and thanksgivings for Aurora Urgent Care in De Pere and the ICU team at Aurora BayCare Hospital.
