Faun Laffin

Faun J. Laffin, 93, of Wausau, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016, in Wausau.
Faun was born December 24, 1922, in Wausau to the late Carl and Ruth (Hoersch) Darelius. She graduated from Wausau High School and on November 1, 1941, married Melvin Laffin in Wausau.
Faun and Melvin made their home in the Town of Hewitt where she worked as a custodian for the Hewitt Texas Elementary School. Following Melvin's death on March 24, 1992 she remained in the Town of Hewitt. For the past two years she has been a resident of Colonial Manor in Wausau.
She enjoyed reading books and magazines, camping in Tomahawk, but especially enjoyed collecting paper dolls and collector dolls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Wayne on May 14, 1999, and two sisters, Betty Tesch and June Schultz.
Faun is survived three daughters, Sandie Brendemuehl , Nashville, TN, Susie Loomis , Weston, WI and Roxanne (Norbert) Ohde , Town of Hewitt, WI, nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren, a brother Gordon Darelius, Wausau and a special friend Holly.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St, Wausau. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park, Town of Texas.
