Faye Hackbart, 52, of the town of Stettin passed away at her home on Monday, May 26, 2008.
She was born June 18, 1955 in Wausau to the late LaVerne and Mary (Kempf) Ruplinger. On October 13, 1979 Faye married Roger Hackbart at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. Faye was a beautician at Harmony Assisted Living and Marywood Convalescent. Previously, she had co-owned the House of Fashion clothing store. She had a passion for creating hand made quilts. Faye had tremendous patience and a flair for detail which made her quilts beautiful works of art. She also had a "green thumb" and enjoyed growing flowers and vegetables. Faye dearly loved her family. She will be greatly missed and always be loved by her family.
Survivors include her husband, Roger, daughter, Stacey of Madison, son, Jeremy (Tracy) of Milwaukee, her brother, Steve Ruplinger and friend Julie of Wausau, mother-in-law Violet Hackbart of Wausau and two sister-in-laws, Bonnie (Jim) Von Rueden of Mosinee, and Lois (Pete) Kufahl of Ringle. Faye was preceded in death by a sister, Shelley Ruplinger and father-in-law Norton Hackbart.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Friday at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. Reverend Ken Schaub will officiate. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau and on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
