Florence M. Myszka, 88, of Wausau passed away on Friday, February 8, 2008 at Mt. View Care Center. She was born January 13, 1920 to the late Arthur and Mary (Nowak) Sala. On November 18, 1939 Florence married Frank Myszka in Waukon, Iowa. For years they owned Frank's Hollow Tavern, Wausau. Florence was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church where she belonged to St. Catherine's Council and St. Rita's Circle. She was also a member of the VFW Burns Post #388 Ladies Auxilliary and volunteered at Marywood Convalescent Center. Her hobbies included knitting, sewing, and puzzles.
Survivors include a niece, Nancy (Richard) Meverden and family, Randal (Nancy) Meverden and Ron Meverden all of Wausau and Terese Meverden of Combined Locks and a brother-in-law, Ray (Jo) Myszka of Wausau. Florence was preceded in death by Frank on June 8, 1990, a sister, Regina Lutzke and a grand nephew, Richard Meverden.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Wausau. Father Gerald Pehler will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Helke Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
