Floyd Leo Pfantz, 90, Wausau, died Thursday, March 3, 2016, at his home in Wausau.
He was born October 4, 1925, in Lincoln County, Wisconsin, son of the late Otto and Bertha (Plank) Pfantz. On February 1, 1945, he entered the United States Army and served his country overseas in World War II. After his discharge on November 10, 1946, he returned to the area and married Lucille Tesch on May 27, 1950 in Wausau.
Floyd and Lucille made their home in Wausau all their married life, where he worked for 40 years as a Electrician for Wausau Paper until his retirement.
Floyd was a fix it guy. He enjoyed taking things apart and seeing how they worked. He also enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, traveling and playing cards with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years Lucille, two sons, Rodney Pfantz of Kenosha, WI and Brian Pfantz of Wausau, six grandchildren, Mike, Steve, Cory, Jonathan, Andrew, and Abigail, seven great grandchildren, Karissa, Landyn, Andrew, Kaylie, Khloe, Quintin, and Madalynn and a sister Selma Bauman of Merrill, WI.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Eric, Rosco, Ernest and Carl and three sisters, Elvera, Amelia and Sophie.
