Floyd Tarbert, 80, of Wausau, died Saturday March 1, 2008 at North Central Health Care under Ministry Hospice Services.
Floyd was born October 14, 1927 in Rockford, Ill. to the late Stanley and Elnora (Statler) Tarbert. He served in the United States Navy from 1945-1946. Floyd married Jane Goral on January 1, 1949 in Rockford, Ill. He received his B.A. from Marquette University. Floyd worked as a Business Administrator in the medical field. After retirement, he was active in volunteer work as an outreach minister. Floyd was very involved in his church and loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife Jane of Wausau, 4 children Cindy (Bill) Miller of Wausau, Linda (Ted- deceased) Predeth of Wausau, Brian (Evelina Vladimirova) Tarbert of Madison, and Lisa (Jon) Singer of Wausau, one daughter-in-law Nancy Tarbert of Rothschild, six grandchildren Elizabeth (Travis) Greil, Rebekah (Matthew) Tierney, Kelsey Tarbert, Abby, Jacob, and Nicholas Singer, and one sister Mary Eaton of Pecatonica, Ill.
Floyd was preceded in death by one son Tim, one son-in-law Ted, three brothers Donald, Jim, and Dale, and two sisters Dawn and Nancy.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Tuesday March 4, 2008 at the Church of St. Anne Catholic Church, Wausau. Father Steven Brice will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. The Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, assisted the family with arrangements.
