Frances Jacobi

Frances Jacobi was a true homemaker. She took pride in taking care of her family with the wonderful food she baked from scratch, the clothing she sewed and helping her husband, Gilbert take care of their town of Maine dairy and beef cattle farm. She was a past member of the town of Maine Homemaker's Club and volunteered for many years at Bethesda Thrift Store. Frances and Gilbert were charter members of St. Mark's Lutheran Church with Frances a charter member of the Ladies Guild.
Frances was born September 22, 1918 in the town of Maine to the late Otto and Minnie (Krueger) Pagel. On September 23, 1944 she married Gilbert Jacobi at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Frances enjoyed Bible study at church and her daily devotions. She liked to read, garden and spend time with her grandchildren.
At the age of 94, Frances passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center.
Survivors include her son, Warren (Sharon) Jacobi of Wausau, two grandchildren, Douglas (Kelly) Jacobi of Wausau, Tracy (Michael) Gengalo of Merrill, three great grandchildren, Tristan, Grayson and Logan, brothers-in-law, Lloyd (Dorothy) Jacobi of Wausau, Orville (Adeline) Jacobi of Aniwa, sisters-in-law, Bernice Roeder of Wausau, Leona Braun of Edgar and numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert on August 1, 2010, step parents, William and Alma Wirth, three sisters, Martha Pagel, Aurelia Michel, Verna Isaacson and three brothers, Raymond, Wesley and Ewald Pagel.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Wausau. Reverend Chris Sansom will officiate. Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
