Frances Kienbaum, 94, Wausau died, Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau. Frances was born on Feb. 26, 1913 to the late Herman and Alevina (Voelker) Krause, in the town of Maine. She married Ordal Kienbaum on Sept. 14, 1940. He preceded her in death on Apr. 10, 1994.
Frances and her husband began farming in 1942 and continued until her retiring. She was a great cook, a hardworker and loved tending her vegetable and flower gardens, bery patches, canning and making homemade sausage. Frances was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church, Aniwa and belonged to the Ladies Aid and Lutheran Missionary League, taught Sunday and vacation bible school, and did quilting for the church.
Survivors include her two sons, James (Hildegard) Kienbaum, Wausau and Thomas (Sharon) Kienbaum, Racine; five grandchildren, Lynn (Dave) Thompson, Scott (Maureen) Kienbaum, Pamela, Dale and Kara Kienbaum; two great-grandchildren, Amy and Ryan Thompson; a brother, Renatus (Eleanor) Krause, Merrill; and a sister, Hilma (Lee) Krueger, Merrill.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Loretta Klueckman.
Services will be at 11am Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Zion Lutheran Church, Aniwa. Rev. David Faulkner will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm Monday, until 7pm at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau and will continue Tuesday, from 10am until the time of services at the church.
