Francis "Frank" Xavier Moeller, 55, died Sunday, October 4, 2015 at William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital, Madison surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was born October 19, 1959 in Manitowoc, WI to the late Robert and Catherine Lucille (Else) Moeller. He faithfully served his country in the US Navy from 1976-80 and for several years later in the National Guard. Frank married Debbie Sue Richards on March 24, 1984 at Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Wausau. The couple was blessed with two sons: Jeremy and Francis Jr. Over the years, Frank worked as a machinist at several businesses in Wausau and was always a freelance mechanic. At the age of 52, Frank was very proud to graduate with honors from NTC with an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design.
Throughout his life, Frank was a man who enjoyed learning new things and often grew restless with the monotony of doing the same thing over and over. This led him to be constantly looking for new challenges and never giving up. Frank had a great love of drag racing and working on cars which he was very good at. Frank liked to cook and was very good at it. He enjoyed going on camping vacations with the family, spending time with his golden retrievers and cheering on the Badgers and Packers.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Debbie; son, Jeremy and son, Francis Jr. (Marcie Reissmann); siblings, Robert Moeller Jr, Margaret Heyn, Thomas Moeller, Gerard Moeller, Norman (Cheryl) Moeller, Therese Moeller, James (Maggie) Moeller, Bridget (Tom) Kisolek, Patricia McGlade, Monica (Lee) Parra and Anne (Frank) Brown; mother-in-law, Ellen Richards; sisters-in-law, Lois (Jim) Kleiber and Ann (Dwight) Quaschnick; brothers-in-law, Robert Keppel and Bernard (Sue) Richards Jr.; and extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Bernard James Moeller; sister, Marybeth Keppel; niece, Lisa Coulter; nephew, Robert John Moeller; father-in-law, Bernard Richards and brothers-in-law, James Heyn, Brad McGlade and Ronald Richards.
