Gary Lee Helmke, 62, Wausau, died Friday, April 12, 2011 at his home.
Gary was born December 4, 1948 in Merrill to the late Gerhardt and Lorraine (Pickruhn) Helmke. He is a graduate of Wausau High School and worked his entire life on the family dairy farm. Gary was a quiet yet thoughtful man. He retired from farming and moved to Wausau and began attending Trinity Lutheran Church.
Gary is survived by his siblings, Dale (Jill) Helmke and Leanna (Ted) Rusch; 4 nephews and a niece and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Reverend Gary Schultz will be officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM and last until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Saint Paula�(TM)s Lutheran Cemetery, Naugart.
