Gary Stanton

Gary Lee Stanton, 71, of Wausau, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 5, 2015, at his cottage in Hazlehurst, WI.
Gary was born August 14, 1943, in Wausau to the late Delbert and Erna (Brummond) Stanton. He received his education in Wausau and then began working in various engineering jobs in the area. He retired from Wood Equipment Company of Mosinee as a Mechanical Engineer in 2010.
He was united in marriage to Loretta Boehm in Edgar, WI and they made their home in Wausau all their married life.
Gary is survived by his wife Loretta of Wausau, a daughter Michelle (Cameron) Roberts of Appleton, WI, a son Kevin (Denise) Stanton of Watertown, WI, four grandchildren, Reece and Campbell Roberts and Carter and Trevor Stanton, one brother Robert (Katherine) Stanton of Wausau and several extended family.
A memorial gathering will be held from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce Street, Wausau with rites by the Wausau Elks Lodge # 248 at 6:00 p.m.
