George Schroeder

George Frank Schroeder, 89 of Wausau passed away, Monday, August 18, 2014 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Benedictine Manor of Wausau.
He was born July 19, 1925 in Hebron, IL, to the late Clarence and Pearl (Oglesby) Schroeder. George worked in farming most of his life and later retired as a security guard at Weyerhaeuser Paper Company in 2002.
On May 14, 1955 George was united in marriage to Naomi Salisbury in New Glares, WI and her death came on June 17, 2000.
In free moments he enjoyed working on the farm and fishing.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Melissa, one brother Howard and two sisters, Lois and Shirley.
George is survived by three daughters and two sons, Andrea Schroeder of Wausau, WI, Theresa (Kurt) Heymers of Tucson, AZ , Samantha (Jeff) Iczkowski of Rothschild, WI, Michael Schroeder Treadway of El Reno, OK and Stephen (Tracy) Schroeder of Antigo, WI, five grandchildren , three great grandchildren, and one brother Robert (Barbara) Schroeder of Hebron, IL.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce Street Wausau where visitation will begin at noon. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter. Rev. Joy Nelson-Jeffers of First Presbyterian Church will officiate.
