Gerald "Jerry" Francis Bins, a devoted husband, loving father, and proud veteran, peacefully passed away on October 16, 2024, in Wausau, Wisconsin, at the age of 92. Born in Green Bay on September 9, 1932, Jerry served his country in the United States Army Corps of Engineers during the Korean War and was a valued member of the American Legion.
In 1957, he married his beloved wife Marilyn, with whom he shared a beautiful life filled with love and cherished memories. Jerry enjoyed spending summers at the family cabin in Three Lakes, and winters in Florida. He loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers, but most of all, he cherished moments with his loved ones.
Jerry will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Marilyn, his sons David and Daniel, his grandchildren Aly (Andy) Stahlman and Andy (Lauren) Johnson, his great-granddaughter Margot and son-in-law Doug (Cheryl) Johnson, as well as other relatives and friends. At this time of grieving, Jerry finds peace as he reunites with his parents, daughter Julie, and brother Don who preceded him in death.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 8 at Church of the Resurrection, 621 2nd St., Wausau, from 9:30 until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Jerry's memory to the American Legion Post 10 (www.wausaupost10.com/index.php?id=153), a cause close to his heart. Jerry's kind spirit, unwavering love for his family, and dedication to his country will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones. May his legacy be a guiding light for all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, dear Jerry.
