Gertrude Juedes

Gertrude Emily Juedes, 92, of the town of Easton, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014, at Artisan Senior Living, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born on March 20, 1922, in the town of Hewitt to William and Anna (Furgers) Ruenger. Gertrude married Elmer Juedes on May 30, 1942 in Oshkosh, and he preceded her in death in 2002.
She worked at Wausau Laundry and Connor Forest Industries, in addition to raising 12 children. Gertrude loved and enjoyed being with her family, especially going out to eat for her birthday at Chet and Emil's, and watching her grandchildren play games at the family picnic. Our mother loved flowers and watching the many species of birds that came to her bird feeders. She liked to watch the Brewers and golf on TV. Gertrude loved to read and loved her ice cream and Twinkies.
Survivors include her children, Ronald (Marie) of Ringle, Jerry (Sue) of Ringle, Allan (Charlotte) of Wausau, Raymond (Karen) of Aniwa, Charles of Wausau, Susan (Ken) Berndt of Rib Mountain, Carol (Allen) Seymour of Wausau, Joan (Dan) Beversdorf of New Berlin, Neil (Sue) of Wausau, Lyle (Marie) of Aniwa, and Kristine (Neal) Weden of Wausau; sisters, Delores Wilde of Neenah and Victoria Gierszewski of Wausau; 31 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Mary Juedes of Schofield; and sister-in-law, Irene Ruenger of the town of Hewitt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; parents, William and Anna; son, Richard; brothers, Vernon, William, and Raymond Ruenger; sisters, Loretta Wesenick, Florina Wesenick, and Bernice Habeck; granddaughter, Cheryl; and daughter-in-law, Lois Juedes.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2014, at St. John Lutheran Church, E10723 Co. Rd Z, Town of Easton, with Rev. Timothy Coppersmith officiating. Family and friends may call beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
