Gertrude Letto, 93, formerly of Town of Maine, passed away Monday, March 2, 2009.
Gertrude was born August 18, 1915 in Merrill to the late Ernst and Elsa (Voelz) Jahns. She met Dexter J. Letto and the couple was married June 20, 1942. The couple spent thirty-nine years together prior to Dexter’s death on November 30, 1981.
Gertrude is survived by five children: Judith (Michael) Marcoux of Valdosta, GA, Dennis (Kathy) Letto of Pasadena, MD, Marjean Letto of Madison, Dexter L. Letto of Weston and Betty Tellekson of Weston; 10 Grandchildren; 13 Great-Grandchildren; sons-in-law, Mike Tellekson and Dennis Biel; and one sister, Lorna Utecht of Wausau. She is preceded in death by twin daughters, Marlene and Marlyn; daughter-in-law, Sharon Letto; her brother, Walter Jahns; and sisters, Esther Holmquist and Edna Oldenberg.
Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Weston. Pastor Brad Hubbard will be officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 until 11:30 AMThursday March 5, 2009 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Weston. Burial will at Maple Grove Cemetery, Town of Maine.
