Glenn Hackbarth

Mr. Glenn LaVern Hackbarth, 83, lifelong resident of Wausau, died July 26, 2009, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital .











Mr. Hackbarth was born October 3, 1925, the son of the late Adolph and Freida (Knorr) Hackbarth. After graduation from high school, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a bookkeeper at 29 Supermarket for 30 years, retiring in July 1989.











He is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 58 years, Phyllis Hackbarth; 4 children, Susan Hackbarth, Sandra Hackbarth, Scott Hackbarth, and Todd (Sue) Hackbarth; 4 grandchildren, Michalene Johnson, Clinton Hackbarth, Kent Hackbarth, and Thomas Dillon.











Private family services will be held.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mr. Hackbarth's name to:  Humane Society of Marathon County; 7001 Packer Drive; Wausau, WI  54401.
