Gordon Lemma

Gordon was born August 15th 1927, the son of the late Hugh and Laura (Seehafer) Lemma, in Wausau. Gordon honorably served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946. He was employed at Weyerhauser until his retirement.

Gordon was an avid sportsman, making time to hunt and fish out west, in South Dakota, and Canada. Being outdoors and appreciating nature was a favorite pastime of Gordon's. He greatly enjoyed his family and was known by all as a supper club connoisseur.

On June 28th 2012, Gordon Lemma died at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 84 years old.

Gordon will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Sharon (Don) Franz; and many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Vern and Gale Lemma; and sister, Marlene Tress.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 5th, at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park, with full military honors. Family will receive guests at the funeral home, on Thursday, beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of service.
