Grace Ziebell

Grace Elizabeth Ziebell, 97, has passed on to Heaven to join her Lord and Savior. She died on July 31, 2011 at Stonecrest Residence in Wausau.
Grace was born in Edgar, Wisconsin on October 11, 1913 to the late Albert and Mary (Homme) Wagner. She married Morris Ziebell in Edgar on October 11, 1937. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1969.
Grace had two sons, Paul and Jack, who live in Wausau. She was a wonderful mother. We love you Mom.
Grace worked for Wausau Insurance for 20 years. She met some wonderful friends and did many things with them after retirement. Grace loved to travel and took many cruises, including the Grecian Islands, Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines, the Caribbean, and Hawaii. She volunteered for the mentally ill. Grace was also a member of the retired persons and of the Shrine Auxiliary. In her later years she watched and enjoyed her "soaps." She loved watching the Packers and Brewers as well. Grace was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church since 1948 and was active in their circle for years.
Grace was preceded in death by her mother, Mary and father, Albert; sister, Dorothy; and brother, Edgar.
A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 709 Weston Ave., Wausau, with the Rev. Paulette Creswell officiating. Friends and family may call beginning at 11:00 am until the time of service at the church.
A special thank you to her two great neighbors and friends, Dawn and Shirley. They loved and cared for her very much.
