Harold Baumann

Harold Rudolph Baumann, 83, Wausau, died Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Rennes Health and Rehab Center, Weston.
Harold was born July 16, 1927 in Wausau to the late Rudolph and Emma (Lemke) Baumann. He served his country in the US Army. After meeting Doris Krueger at a dance, they later married on February 5, 1949 in the Town of Wausau. Harold and Doris celebrated 59 wonderful years together prior to her death on April 9, 2008.
Harold was a good and loving husband, father and later grandfather. He worked hard to provide for his family, for many years working both for Wausau Paper (Brokaw) as a paper machine foreman and also for Wausau Coated as a machine operator before retiring. In his free time, Harold enjoyed working in his garden, cooking, watching movies and watching the Packers. Harold's favorite pastime was playing golf, which he would do as often as he could.
Harold is survived by his son, Gary (Judith) Baumann of Rib Mountain; grandchildren, Jason and Jamie; brothers, Kenneth (Gay) Baumann, Ted (Betty) Baumann and Rudolph (Mary) Baumann; and sisters, Jean (Richard) Binner, Patricia "Patsy" (Richard) Rostal and Louise Thompson. He is preceded in death by his son, Dennis Lee and four siblings.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Thursday, June 16 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Reverend Bruce Lamont will be officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM and last until the time of services.
