Harvey Nelson

Harvey Nelson, 95, of Wausau, died June 17, 2010 in Ontario Canada.





Harvey was born February 5, 1915 in Wausau to the late Edward and Jenny (McKellar) Nelson. He married Ruth Lundgren on June 5, 1937 in Stevens Point. Ruth preceded him in death on May 7, 2002. Harvey was a production machinist for Hartwig Manufacturing and later for Yunk Manufacturing before his retirement. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge FAM #130 and a long standing member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. Harvey served on the Rib Mountain Volunteer Fire Department and served as fire chief for many years.





Survivors include one son Darrell (Sandy) Nelson of Wausau, four daughters; Beverly (Stanley) Line of Bogotá, Columbia, Sharon (Richard) States of Tucson, Ariz., Kathy Crossman of Cambridge, Ontario, and Debra (Dennis) Geer of Menomonee Falls, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.





Besides his wife and parents, Harvey was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.





Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday June 22, 2010 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Rib Mountain. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
