Harvey Willard Raduechel, 84, of Wausau passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born January 20, 1931, son of the late John and Bertha (Koehler) Raduechel. Harvey was united in marriage to Julaine Kell on September 29, 1956 at Trinity Lutheran Church, in the Town of Wausau. They made their home in Wausau all their married life.
Harvey became a certified welder and began working at Wausau Iron Works. One of his projects was welding the steel that was used in the construction of the Saint Lawrence Seaway which he visited and had an opportunity to view his workmanship. He later took a position as Supervisor for the Marathon County Maintenance Department, retiring in January of 1993 after 32 years of service.
One of Harvey's greatest joys was his music. He played the concertina and guitar for the Whoopee Bob and His Happy Dutchman Band throughout Wisconsin. He also enjoyed, camping, hunting, fishing woodworking and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Julaine, a son Mark (Pamela) Raduechel of Aniwa, WI, four daughters, Lori (Rodney) Kollmer of Merrill, WI, Kathy (Thomas) Hackbarth of Antigo, WI, Patti (Kevin) Yolitz of Wausau, WI and Jamie (Thomas) Staats of Indianapolis, IN, twelve grandchildren, Matthew (Kelly) Raduechel, Amanda (Patrick) Lind, Lucas Raduechel, Seth (LeAnn) Kollmer, Sean (Kayla Stier) Kollmer, Karen (Steve Boshan) Hackbarth, Michael (Heather) Hackbarth, Jennifer (Travis) Pennington, Nathan (Megan Anderson) Yolitz, Amy Yolitz, Jessie (Jesse Flagle) Staats and Megan (Michael Stocks) Staats, eleven great grandchildren, Evelyn, Eleanor, Nolan, Nicholas, Natalie, Emma, Lauren, Owen, Evan, Eli, Ivan and one great granddaughter on the way, and one brother Elroy Raduechel of Crystal Falls, MI.
Preceding him in death were one brother Walter and a sister Violet Kroening.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 501 Stewart Ave, Wausau with Rev. Gary Schultz officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Church. Burial will be at a later date at the Mechanic's Ridge Cemetery, Town of Wausau.
