Helen Mae Marschall, 97, went to be with her Lord on July 1, 2023. She was born Dec. 24, 1925 in the Town of Berlin, to the late Robert and Pauline (Hoeft) Seefeld. Helen graduated from Wausau High School and then worked for the General Telephone Co. On May 7, 1949 she married Clarence Marschall at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Naugart. He preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 2021. Later in life she worked as a maid at Howard Johnson's. She was a member of the Trinity Altar Guild and volunteered at Bethesda Thrift Store. Helen was a wonderful cook and hosted every holiday with a delicious dinner. Many memories were created each Christmas when the family would help decorate all the cutout cookies she baked. Clarence and Helen were fortunate to live in the home Clarence built in Rib Mtn. up until 2021 when they moved to Cedar Creek Manor. Helen will be fondly remembered for her kind heart and all the care and love she gave to others.
Survivors include her children; Mary (Mark) Stubbe, Terri Johnson, Stuart Marschall (fiance, Lisa Niesen), stepson Gerry Marschall, grandchildren; Shannon (Mike) Grosnick, (Emmalin, Zoey, Meredith, Caiden), Brendon Stubbe, Mitchel (Mackenzie) Johnson (Myles, Maizy), Madeline (Brandon) Smith (Lincoln), Kim Marschall (Cassandra, Evan), Kelley (Andy) Wehner (Jared, Jacob), Ashley Marschall, sister-in-law; Ruth Seefeld and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters; Adeline (Lester) Utech, Alma (Ray) Utech, Margaret Meydem, brothers; Robert (Corleen) Seefeld, William (Millie) Seefeld, Mike Seefeld, son-in-law; Larry Johnson, great-grandson Stephen Grosnick.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Pommerscher Verein-Central Wisconsin, PO Box 103, Wausau, WI 54402-0103.
The family would like to thank Linda and her staff at Cedar Creek for the wonderful care they gave mom and dad.
