Henrietta Marie Wildman, 82, Wausau, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016, at Wausau Manor.
Henrietta was born on November 11, 1933, in Taylor County, WI, daughter to Frank and Beatrice (McCarthy) Gebert. Henrietta graduated from Medford High School in 1951. She was united in marriage to Gerald "Jerry" Wildman on October 9, 1954 in Stetsonville, WI.
Jerry and Henrietta moved to Wausau in 1954 because Channel 7 had first went on air at that time. They started and operated Marathon TV. From 1982-2003 Henrietta was employed in the office of the Marathon County Treasurer.
Henrietta (a.k.a. "Heinie" or "Henri") enjoyed many things, especially reading, crossword puzzles and politics. More than that she loved her children and grand-children and was so proud of all their accomplishments. She loved all of them for their own uniqueness and always encouraged them in all of their endeavors. Her legacy will live on forever through her family and many friends that she has nurtured throughout the years. She will be greatly missed!
Henrietta is survived by four children, Nancy (Luke) Gajewski, Wausau, Randy Wildman, Wausau, Katherine Wildman (Michael Kezeor) of Amity, OR and Scott (Deanna) Wildman, Wausau, five brothers, Lynn (Carol) Gebert, Oconto, WI, Frank Gebert, Wausau, Gary (Lenore) Gebert, Abbotsford, WI, Wayne Gebert, Medford, Lyle (Regina) Gebert of Washington, IN and a sister Karen (Marti) Watertown, WI, twelve grandchildren: Anna Gajewski (Jesse Zimmerman), Jenny Gajewski, Katie Gajewski, Brenton Wildman, Tyler Wildman, Michael Wildman, Jessica Wildman, Joshua Wildman, Makenna Wildman, Noah Wildman, Sofia Wildman and Cristine Kezeor.
In addition to her parents, Henrietta was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, two brothers, Elliot (Donna) Gebert and Lee (Lynette Barton) Gebert, six brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.
Her family is thankful for the care she received at Wausau Manor.
Memorial services will be held at Noon, Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St. Wausau with Deacon Bob Anderson officiating. A time of celebration and remembrance will also be held for family and friends from 1-4 p.m. at Back When Café, 606 3rd St, Wausau. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park at a later date.
