Henry Lehman was a hard working man who loved his family and took great pride in operating his Athens dairy farm. He had a strong religious belief and was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Wausau and a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens.
At the age of 89, Henry passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born July 3, 1920 in Athens to the late William and Anna (Paersch) Lehman. On August 9, 1952, Henry married Edith Weinke at Peace Lutheran Church in the town of Frankfort. She preceded him in death on November 30, 2001.
Survivors include their six children, Linda Lehman of Green Bay, Lois Lehman of Chicago,IL, Lewis (Joan) Lehman of Wausau, Lorna Lutzke of Wausau, Louann Clark of Wausau, Laureen Lehman of Dallas, TX, five grandchildren, Heidi (Ted) Menchaca, Chad Clark, Amanda (Dustin) VanDeWeerd, Melissa Lehman, and Emily Lehman, and five great grandchildren, Cassidy, Collin, Alexa, Mikenna, and Kayden. Henry was further preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Reverend Chris Sansom of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Athens Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
