Ione Borth

Ione Zarnke Borth, 89, of Wausau, died on Friday, February 10, 2017, in the care of Wausau Manor's sensitive and supportive staff.

Ione was born in Wausau, WI, on March 16, 1927 where she lived a full and rewarding life with her family and friends. She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed music and theater. She also loved being a disc jockey for WSAU.

Ione is survived by her sons, Terry (Penney) Borth, Peter (Elaine) Borth and Ben (Carol) Borth. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Lisa Wiley, Jason Borth, Heidi Moldenhauer Nilson, Matt Moldenhauer, Kevin Borth, Carlye Borth Kraemer, and eight great grandchildren, Alyssa, Isaiah, Elijah, Rebecca, Daisy, August, Elsie and Diego.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerhard Borth, and her daughter Rebecca Borth, a sister Nathalie Scott and a brother Norman Zarnke.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2017, at the Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St. Wausau. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.
