Iris Erdmann, 82, of Wausau, died Tuesday May 6, 2008 at Wausau Manor under Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
Iris was born September 10, 1925 in Wausau, to the late Edwin and Mayme (Haasch) Urban. She married Wilfred Erdmann on February 27, 1943 in Wausau. Iris was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church, town of Stettin. She was active in the Altar Guild and the Evening Circle. Iris was a charter member of the Pommerscher Verein.
Survivors include her husband Wilfred of Wausau, son Larry (Karen) Erdmann of Marathon, daughter Sharon (Jerry Smith) Beste of Grafton, four grandchildren; Jared (Melissa) Erdmann of Oshkosh, Joshua Erdmann of L.A., Calif., Aricka (Rick) Knox of Cedarburg, Melissa Beste of New York City, N.Y., four great grandchildren and one sister-in-law Mary Urban of Merrill. Iris was preceded in death by one brother Edwin.
Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday May 10, 2008 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Stettin. The Reverend Clarence Gall will officiate. Burial will be in Stettin Christian Cemetery, town of Stettin. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the church. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
