Janet Bergmann

Janet L. (Pieper) Bergmann, 75, Wausau, died Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Wellington Place, Rib Mountain.

Janet was born September 2, 1935 to the late Walter and Ann (Rosentreter) Pieper in Brokaw. She graduated early from Wausau High School in 1952. Janet married the love of her life, Raymond Bergmann on September 24, 1955 in Wausau. Throughout her life, Janet was a very hard worker beginning at Brokaw Paper before moving to American Asphalt and finally retiring from Keys Concrete in Florida performing clerical duties at all the businesses. After 50 wonderful years together, Raymond died in 2005.

Janet will be remembered for her easy going nature and big heart. She had a quick wit and liked having a purpose throughout her life as evidenced by her many years of hard work. Janet loved and supported her grandchildren who were the apple of her eye. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Biloxi to visit their casinos for a little fun.

Janet is survived by her children, Randall (Joann) Bergmann, Mount Vernon, AR, Diane Bergmann, Wausau and Patti (Jonathan) Seamon, Wausau; 9 grandchildren, Kristi, Chaunna, Robert, Jason, Ryan, Matthew, Nicholas, Anna and David; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; brother, Carroll (Duaine) Pieper; sister, Verene Kelly; sister-in-law, Caroline Pieper and many more extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; son, Jeffrey Bergmann and brother, David Pieper.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Restlawn Memorial Park Chapel. Reverend John Meachen will be officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, December 20, 2010 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau resuming at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at the Restlawn Chapel.
