Janice Beck

Janice Beck, 70, of the town of Easton, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born to Vernon and Lucille (Lamberies) Schmidt on August 20, 1942, in Gresham, WI. She grew up in Gresham and graduated from Gresham High School. Janice married Donald Beck on August 24, 1963. She worked at Employers Insurance and later at Shining Star Daycare. While the children were young Jan stayed at home and cared for them.
She always looked forward to working at the fair each year. Janice was a member of the Badger Homemakers Club and a member of Zion Lutheran Church, town of Easton.
Janice is survived by her husband, Donald; children, Todd of Rothschild, and Brenda (Jeff) Kitsembel of Stoughton; two grandchildren, Emma and Alyssa Kitsembel; sister, Lori Schmidt-Roers (Eric Roers) of Gresham; and sister-in-law, Carolyn (George) Sippl of Waukesha.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012, at Zion Lutheran Church, E7195 Star Rd., town of Easton, with Rev. David Faulkner officiating. Family and friends may call beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2012, and again beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Friday at Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
