Janice Erickson

Janice L. Erickson, 73, of the town of Rib Mountain, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Ministry St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. She was born to William and Viola (Weisgerber) Meyhoff on September 9, 1939, in Center, North Dakota. Janice married Earl Erickson in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, on September 14, 1957. She worked at Wausau East High School in the Food Service Department.
Janice will be remembered for her dedication to her family. She enjoyed sitting around the dinner table talking with her family and learning about what was going on in their lives. Janice was a member of First English Lutheran Church and helped make many quilts over the years. She also liked gardening, baking, and sharing a dance with her husband.
Janice is survived by her husband, Earl; children, David (Vickie) Erickson of Oconomowoc, Steven (Jackie) Erickson of Wausau, James (Brenda) Erickson of Ringle, and Kay (Ronald) Rosso of Schofield; grandchildren, Francesca, Forrest, Matthew, Ali, Samuel, Rachel, Delaney, Levi, Reese, and Kyle; brother, Raymond (LaVana) Meyhoff of Frazee, MN; and sister-in-law, Margaret Meyhoff Maki of Frazee, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Norman and William Meyhoff; sister, Darlene Meyhoff; and granddaughter, Sophia.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at First English Lutheran Church, 402 N. Third Ave., Wausau, with Rev. Erik Olson officiating. Family and friends may call beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
