Janice Gerber

Janice Mae (Lyon-Kittel) Gerber, 67, died Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Janice was born May 13, 1946 in Wausau to the late Russell "Rusty" and Ruth (Shidell) Lyon. She graduated from Wausau High School in 1964. Janice married Lawrence A. Kittel in September 1964 and had two children, Linda and Gary. They later divorced in 1973. She remarried in July 1981 to Rudolph F. Gerber Sr. and later divorced in late 1997. Janice worked for a various employers over the years, most notably for Sentry Insurance and Yellow Transportation.

Janice was a very social person and loved spending time with friends and family. In her free time, she enjoyed working in her flower garden, traveling, bowling, dancing and playing cards.

Janice is survived by her children, Linda (Kregg) Lukasko and Gary (Tammy) Kittel; grandchildren, Wayne, Kelsi, Brandon, Ciarra, Stephany, Stacey and Whitney; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Claire and Wyatt; sister, Nancy Ackerman; brother, Terry (Gloria) Lyon; additional children, Donna (Scott), James, John, Cynthia, Mark, Christine (Harold), Michael (Connie), Annette (Brian), Kathleen (Randy) and Rudolph; nineteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sister, Carol Jean and grandson, Andrew.

Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Covenant Community Presbyterian Church, 1806 Weston Ave., Schofield. Pastor Jess Wakefield will officiate.
