Jean Aldine Edwards, 73, Wausau, died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau, surrounded by her family.
Jean was born May 16, 1942 in Wausau to the late Stephen and Aldine (Reinicke) Sobjeck. She is a graduate of Wausau High School and worked for a time at the Pied Piper Shoe Factory. While at Pied Piper, Jean met her future husband Kenneth Edwards and the two were married October 8, 1966 at the First Presbyterian Church. They were blessed with one daughter, Laurie, who Jean delighted in being a stay at home mother to.
Jean was a proper woman who reveled in being a mother and grandmother. She was always meticulous in her appearance and the care of her home. Jean enjoyed spending time outside in her garden with her roses, shopping, music and crafts.
Jean is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Kenneth; daughter, Laurie (Mike) Mohr of Marathon; grandchildren, Jacob, Rebecca and Grace Mohr all of Marathon; brother, Donald Sobjeck of Wausau; and nieces and nephews. She proceeded in death by her sister-in-law, Rita Sobjeck.
