Jean Franklin

Jean Mary Franklin, 84, Weston, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at Atrium of Weston (Kennedy Park).
Jean was born June 22, 1931, in Minocqua, WI, daughter of Clarence and Ann McCabe. She received her education in Wausau, graduating in the class of 1950. On August 16, 1952 she was united in marriage to James Franklin at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Wausau.
Jean was employed for many years in the banking industry and worked for First American Bank for many of those years. She later worked as the Office Manager at Midland until her retirement.
She was a member of Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and American Legion Auxiliary.
Jean is survived by her loving husband James of Rothschild, two sons; William (Sarah) Franklin and Mark (Tammy) Franklin both of Weston, a daughter; Cheryl Steder of Wausau and a daughter –in-law; Diane Franklin of Wausau, 13 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son Alan, three brothers; Clarence, Richard and John and a sister Elizabeth.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016, at the Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St. Wausau. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2016, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 611 Stark Street, Wausau with Father Robert Schaller officiating. Friends may also call after 9:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
