Mrs. Jean Florence Geer, 78, of Mauldin, SC, formerly of Wausau, died September 18, 2009, at the Summit Living Center, in Simpsonville, SC.
Mrs. Geer was born March 2, 1931, in Chicago, IL, to the late Charles Howard and Charlotte (Crawford) Kamlah. In 1972 she moved, with her husband, William R. Geer, to Wausau, where they raised their three sons. She also worked at the James River Corporation. In 1992, she relocated to Mauldin, SC, where she was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and a volunteer at the Greenville Memorial Hospital and the Ray Hopkins Senior Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William; and 2 siblings, Howard and Marjorie.
Surviving are 3 sons, Bruce (Patsy) Geer, of Mauldin, SC, Denis (Debbie) Geer, of Menomonee Falls, WI, and Kevin Geer, of Wausau; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, Thursday, September 24, from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
