Jeffery Kartes

Jeffery Thomas Kartes, 45, Wausau, died at his home on Monday, September 21, 2009.


Jeffery is survived by his mother, Jadwiga Kartes of Wausau; sister, Laura (Jaye) Gutowski of Wausau; nephews, Jonathon (Jessica) Gutowski of Copperas Cove, TX, Christopher (Brooke) Gutowski of Woodlawn, TN, Jordan (Melissa) Gutowski of Fort Stewart, GA, Matthew (Melissa) Gutowski of Fort Polk, LA, also their children, Juliana, Briana, William and Bryce; brothers, Richard (Carri) Kartes of Aniwa and their sons, David and Adam, and Daniel (Robin) Kartes of Alexandria, MN; along with aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert.


Jeff was a person who will be remembered for his huge, loving heart. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. We all loved him and he let everyone know he cared for them whether it was by baking a cake, helping plan a party or spending time with the kids.


Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, September 25, 2009 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Reverend Matthew Hein will be officiating. Visitation will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the burn unit at Madison University Hospital.
