James “Jimmy” E. Jakel, 55, of Weston, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, while at his home.
Jimmy was born in Wausau on June 16, 1962 to James V. and Lois A. (Jackson) Jakel. He lived his life quietly in the Village of Weston and worked at Great Lakes Cheese in Wausau. His passions in life included: music (the heavy stuff of course), building model airplanes, reading, history, coin collecting, biking, basketball and playing guitar. He always found great solace in the quiet of his own home. Even though Jimmy was a quiet man and had a tendency to spend a lot of time on his own, he had a real impact on the lives of all of his family and friends will forever be missed.
Jimmy is survived by his mom, Lois Jakel; dad, James (Mary) Jakel; brothers, Bruce (fiancé Tina), Terry, Scott (Sarah), Erick and Jason; his sister, Sarah (John) Nixon and five nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and two uncles, Vince and Vern.
