Jo Lambright

Jo A. (Kelley) Lambright, better known to her family as "Jo Mama," 57, passed away September 4, 2014, at home, under the care of her daughter.

She was born May 18, 1957, in Fort Carson, CO, to Sylvanus Kelley and Barbara Kloostra. Jo attended D.C. Everest High school. Jo spent the last three years living with her daughter, son-in-law, and two granddaughters. She touched many people's lives, both friends and family. Several people knew Jo for her customer service in the Wausau and Appleton areas. She enjoyed using humor to brighten anyone's day and will be missed by the people whose lives she touched.

Survivors include her mother, Barbara Kloostra of Ringle; great-aunt, Lillian Hoppe of Schofield; sister, Debra (Jim) Ressel of Mosinee; brother, Karl (Terri) Kelley of Wausau; half-sister, Norma Medley of Arkansas; son, Joshua (Stephanie) Lambright of Mosinee; daughter, Kimberly (Willie) Thomason of Wausau; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Christian, Makayla, Lilly, Katelyn, Louis, and Emma; and three step-grandchildren, Brianna, Xavier, and Syrus; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jo is preceded in death by her father, Sylvanus Kelley; step-mother, Catherine Kloostra; aunt, Shirley Reichel; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Mike Schultz; and grandson, Isaac Lambright.

Jo lived her life for her family and grandchildren, and she loved to be around everyone as often as possible. Jo prided herself on making the best of any situation, and could bring a smile to your face with her strange ways of expressing herself no matter what you were going through. Jo will always be remembered for her entertainment from her quirky sense of humor.

A memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St., Wausau. Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
