John M. Powell, 63, Wausau, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born July 16, 1949 to Elvin Powell, and the late Dorothy Rose (Swift) Powell, in Ames, IA. John enjoyed doing different kinds of art work, and being creative that way. He also enjoyed volunteering for many things throughout the community. John was currently a member at Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau.
He is survived by his father, Elvin (Janet) Powell, Glenview, IL; two brothers, Tim Powell, Eau Claire, WI. and Bob (Sandy) Powell, Proctor, VT; and one nephew, William Powell, Proctor, VT.
Graveside services will take place 11A.M., Thursday, March 7, 2013, at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Wausau. Fr. Bill Grevatch will officiate.
