Joseph Marzynski

Joseph F. Marzynski, 85, of Wausau passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Aspirus Hospice House.

He was born on October 11, 1930 in Cassel to the late John and Sophia (Joswiak) Marzynski Sr. Joe grew up in Cassel and on July 25, 1955 married Sharon Sauter at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgar. They moved to Wausau with Joe working at Hammerblow Tool until retiring after 46 years of service. He had a talent for woodworking especially making Pine furniture for his daughter, Dawn as well as for family and friends. He loved being at his cottage on Lake Alexander as well as at the hunting shack. Joe was an avid fisherman and hunter with several trophy fish, deer, antelope and moose mounts. You could either find him relaxing with a good book or boating with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Sharon of Wausau, his daughter, Dawn Rowe of Hartland, two granddaughters, Madie Rowe of Chicago and Hannah Rowe of Hartland, sister, Florence Jezorski of Milwaukee, son-in-law, Jerry Rowe of Hartland, mother-in-law, Leona Sauter of Stratford and extended family and friends. Joe was preceded in death by two brothers, Dave and Dominic, half siblings, Clara, Anna, John Jr., Stanley, Ray, Leo and Valentine and father-in-law, Marty Sauter.

The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 10, 2016 at St. Anne Parish, 700 West Bridge St., Wausau. Father Alan Burkhart will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
