She was born on
November 3, 1923
in Wild Rose, WI the daughter of the late Glenn and Hannah (Bowen) Etheridge.
She married Frank Kluever on
July 22, 1950
in Wild Rose, WI.
He preceded her in death on
April 28, 1985
.
Joy was a first grade teacher in the
Wausau
Public School
for 39 years, teaching at
Irving
School
and
Rib
Mountain
School
.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, serving as a Deacon. Joy was also a member the Order of the Eastern Star, Shrine Auxiliary, Blue Triangle, Hospital Auxiliary, and very active in the local Retired Teachers Association.
In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, counter cross-stitching, reading, crosswords and jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her loving son, Robert Kluever and his wife, Jane; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Randy) Duberstein, Daniel (Jackie) Kluever, and Jonathan Kluever all of Wausau; and three great-grandchildren, Payton, Marcus and Tyler, who brought her love and happiness everyday.
Joy was preceded in death by her brother, David.
Funeral services will be

at the First Presbyterian Church,

The Reverend Joy Nelson-Jeffers will officiate.
Burial will be in
Pine
Grove
Cemetery
.
Visitation will be Wednesday from
9:00 AM
until the time of services at the church.
