Joyce Dudek

Joyce C. Dudek, 71, of Wausau, passed away at home on Sunday, April 21, 2013. She was born in the town of Rib Mountain on February 15, 1942, to Reinhold and Irene (Woller) Prast. Joyce was a 1960 graduate of Wausau High School and was the class secretary. She married Franklin Dudek on June 29, 1953, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wausau.
Joyce worked as a secretary at four offices during her career including, Marmet Corporation, Home Insulation Company, Midwest Dental, and for the last 10 years for Dr. Sara Schult.
Joyce very much enjoyed her family, gardening, and in the past also liked to bowl and golf. She was a very supportive and loving wife, mother, grandma, and friend. She cherished all of her relationships and was inspirational to others who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Frank of Wausau; children, Thomas Dudek of Kingsford, MI, and Patti (Jeff) Witt of Fort Polk, LA; grandchildren, Joshua Witt, Max Dudek, and Jake and Bo Stuck; brother, Roger (Claudine) Prast of Downingtown, PA; sisters, Betty Prast of Wausau, and Mary Schneider of Wausau; brother-in-law, Richard Runquist of Wausau; and a niece and nephew.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carol Runquist.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, with Rev. Gary Schultz of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau, officiating. Family and friends may call beginning at 1:00p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.
