Joyce Erdmann

Joyce Elaine Erdmann, 89, Wausau, died Monday, January 2, 2017 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Joyce was born October 13, 1927 in Wausau to the late Otto and Eleanor (Wendt) Beilke. She is a 1945 graduate of Wausau High School. Joyce married Charles Erdmann on June 25, 1955, beginning 65 years together. The Joyce and Charles lived above the Chatterbox where they had first met while their home was being built. The couple was blessed with two children: Stephen and Julie. Over the years, Joyce worked as a bookkeeper for Franklin Savings and Loan and later Security Bank.

Joyce was a very good wife and mother. She excelled at cooking, baking, and grilling always keeping her family well fed with homemade creations. The family enjoyed many road trips across the country visiting many of the lower 48 states and cruises to the Caribbean and Hawaii. Free time was often spent working on puzzles, puzzle books, reading and watching TLC's "The Little Couple".

Joyce is survived by her beloved husband, Charles; children, Stephen (Laura) Erdmann and Julie Erdmann; brothers, Jerry (Irma) Beilke and Carl (Barbara) Beilke; and extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her brothers, William and Robert.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Monday, January 9, 2017 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wausau. Pastor Phillip Schneinder will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, January 8 at Helke Funeral Home and resume on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
