Joyce Fehl

Joyce E. Fehl, 94, of Wausau, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at her home, with her loving family at her side.

Joyce was born in Wausau on September 2, 1925, to the late Wilford Sr. and Nina (Baumann) Muetzel. She married the love of her life, John Fehl, on March 23, 1946. They enjoyed 50 years together highlighted by fishing trips, tour bus travels, and in later years, escaping to Florida during the cold Wisconsin winters. He preceded her in death on October 19, 1996.

Joyce was a strong, independent and determined lady who enjoyed getting in her car and going for a drive, working in the yard, being outside, cooking, baking, and the occasional trip to the casino. But most important to Joyce was her family, especially her grandchildren, who she loved dearly. Joyce will remain in the hearts and minds of all of those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Catherine) Fehl and Sue (Bud) Graveen; her grandchildren, Shawn, Stacey (Dan) and Jesse (Amy); great-grandchildren, Jordan, Savannah, Hannah, Myah, Norah, Ellah, Judah, Carter, Jenna and Emma; as well as her great-great-grandchildren, Aiva, Isabella, Nick, and Atlas.

In addition to her husband John, and her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her two brothers, Wilford and Donald.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce Street, Wausau. Visitation will take place from 1:30 until the time of services at the funeral home. Pastor Phil Schneider will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date in Restlawn Memorial Park.
