Joyce Ullenberg

Joyce Elaine Ullenberg, 89, of Parker, CO, formerly of Wausau passed away, Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in Parker.
Joyce was born January 13, 1926 in Wausau, to the late Frank and Helen (Hannemann) Liljequist. She was a 1945 graduate from Wausau High School and a 1949 graduate from Northland College in Ashland. She earned her degree in Education and taught High School English and History.
In 1960, she met and married Gordon Ullenberg in Milwaukee, WI. Following his death, she returned to Wausau and became an office assistant for the Senior Aids Program and worked in various non-profit organizations in the Wausau area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon, and a brother Rodney Liljequist.
Joyce is survived by a son Scott (Donna) Ullenberg of Wausau, two daughters, Jane (Kevin) Rogers of Parker, and Beth Ullenberg of Albuquerque, NM and grandchildren Lauren and Jackson Rogers, a brother Orval (Kathleen) Liljequist of Madison, WI and sister-in-law Barbara Liljequest of Piedmont, CA.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of resurrection on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 1104 South 9th Ave, Wausau, Father Bob Thorn will officiate. A private family burial will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Wausau.
