Judith A. Zillman, 81, passed away peacefully at Lutheran Home in Milwaukee, WI on December 25, 2022. She was born September 14, 1941, to Raymond and Alice (Peterson) Zillman, Wausau, WI.
Judy received her Nursing Degree from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing and her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Alverno College. Her retirement in 2007 meant a 45-year nursing career working in many different roles within the Aurora Medical System. Most of those years were spent in the downtown Milwaukee hospitals.
From spring through fall, her favorite place to be was her cottage on Lake Nokomis. Although she was not an avid fisherman, she enjoyed fishing with family and friends for many years and seldom missed “opening weekend”. She hosted family and many, many friends there who all enjoyed her pontoon ride around the lake. In retirement, she spent a number of years wintering in Phoenix, AZ where she continued to host family and friends and enjoy musical presentations.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Pegge Zillman and Lyn Zillman, nieces and nephew, and many great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her friend, Bonnie, who traveled with her all over the U.S. and Europe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Richard, Robert, and David, sister-in-law, MaryAnn Zillman, and a special aunt, Ruth Peterson.
A Memorial Service will be held on April 22nd at the First English Lutheran Church, Wausau, WI. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., with the service at 11:00. A private burial will be held at a later date.
